happy thursday friends! i’m going to cut to the chase — target’s got a few new brands, and they are in one of my fave categories: loungewear. this could NOT come at a better time, considering i’m less than two months away from maternity leave, and i am hoping to live in a few pieces that are slightly nicer than my husbands ratty college sweatpants. i’m also wearing said sweatpants as i write this, so the irony of that is not lost on me. that being said, i’ve started to pick up a few pieces already, like this adorable pj shirt. i plan on styling it with my spanx or lululemon leggings + some white or other fun sneakers.
to be totally honest, i had a hard time adjusting on maternity leave the first time around, and i think a lot of that had to do with just not really taking care of myself in the ‘shower and put on fresh clothes’ sense for quite some time. it was a weird time where i didn’t feel like i would ever be myself again, and it’s amazing what a fresh, comfy outfit can do for your mental health. all the new arrivals in the three target lines are going to be just the mental pick-me-up i need to feel a liiiiitle bit more like myself when i’m at home with the new kiddo.

the stuff is SO cute. i could not be more thankful that this came out now so i have a chance to pick up some core items before maternity leave. the best part? aside from nursing bras, everything i’m getting is non-maternity, so it’s all usable for a very long time!
