happy thursday! since i’ve been spending half of my life in target recently, i figured i’d do some try-ons today so you can see how things fit + look, with some commentary on how i’d style the piece [where applicable]. let’s get right to it!
tank [wearing extra small] | shorts [wearing small, but i would have been fine sizing up to a medium]
this dress would actually be super cute on someone with a bump. it’s midi-length and shirred around the bust, making a cute shape. it’s also forgiving for those of us that are recently post-partum 🙂
this dress is so simple, but so functional. it’s easy to move in, and the drawstring waist is super flattering. i could see dressing it up for work [chunky mid-height heel with a cute jacket] or down for the weekend [sneaks + baseball cap]. i’m wearing an extra small here, but probably would do better with a small because of how tight the chest is #breastfeedingprobs.
this tank is SUCH a flattering cut [not quite racerback, but flatters the shoulders] and runs pretty TTS. i’m wearing an extra small here.
i sized up in these wild fable shorts, partially because my incision area is still really swollen [along with the rest of my mid-section] and partially because it’s a juniors line, so it runs smaller. i’m wearing an 8 here. i love that it’s longer in the back and covers more, so i feel like i can get away with these without feeling like i’m 18 and need to put more clothes on. no hate to you cute 18 year olds — props for being able to wear short shorts!
love that these shorts are a little longer, so i feel fully covered. wearing a small here. they would be great for any sort of graduation party//shower//birthday party where you want to look nice, but not too fancy.
i have a blog post started titled “holy s**t i’m becoming my mom” and you know what’s featured? overalls. i actually wish i would have bought a pair when i was pregnant because i imagine the room for the bump would have been so comfy. better late than never. wearing a medium in these.

happy [tarzhay] thursday!
