my favorite podcasts + #nsale picks

hi friends! i know some of you are like me, and eagerly anticipating the nordstrom anniversary sale, so if that’s you, skip down to the bottom of this post for a slideshow of my picks. i can’t link anything yet, but i will as soon as it all goes live on the site! otherwise, on to my current fave podcasts:

i have a pretty long commute, so to combat sheer boredom, i’ve started listening to podcasts. i know, i know, i’m wayyyy late to the game, guys, but better late than never. in the morning, i love to listen to ones that are centered around business, productivity, and markting, on my way home, i like something a little more lighthearted and mindless OR something health-focused. here’s my full breakdown of my faves that i never miss each week:

the skinny confidential, him and her podcast: these two are hilarious. lauryn is a ‘lifestyle blogger extraordinaire’ and is joined by her husband, michael. the two’s witty banter just adds to the meat of the podcast, which is the stellar guests lauryn and michael land. from wellness to fashion to entrepreneurship to skin care, lauryn and michael bring real, helpful content to the podcastosphere [not a word, i’m aware. maybe it will be now??]

secrets of wealthy women: veronica dagher has one of those voices that exudes credibility + confidence, which makes this podcast and it’s impressive lineup of guests even more binge-listen worthy. it’s refreshing to hear interviews that aren’t solely focused on “but how did you have a family AND a career?”, but truly trying to understand the why and the how of how successful women have built their empires, brands, and reputations in a variety of industries. the episode with bethenny frankel is gracefully interviewed, no small feat if you are familiar with the multi-industry self-made tycoon that bethenny is. this is one i’m definately subscribed to [thanks for the reco, mom!]

the ladygang: these ladies are so funny. so relatable. so … you just want to be bff’s with them. keltie, becca, and jac are girl boss’s in their own rights and industries, but together, they are sheer magic. i typically listen to this one on my way home when i need to unwind.

the dais podcast [rachel hollis]girl, listen to this podcast! i just stumbled upon it after reading her book [well, listening to it on audible] girl wash your face, and i could not love it more. i’m extremely picky about people’s voices, and hers is one that i could listen to forever. she’s warm, genuine, and you really just want to have her over for coffee. she brings on amazing guests, and her solo episodes are just as impactful. i love that it truly is a lifestyle podcast, with episodes on business, style, kids, marriage, and LIFE. girl, keep it up!

the influencer podcast: julie soloman is whip-smart, has an amazing voice, and experience to back up each and every one of her thought provoking and pointed questions. i so enjoy listening to her guests and their journeys through their careers, and her take on it. as a former pr girl and mommy blogger turned ‘blogger for bloggers,’ julie offers up so much value in each episode, that i cannot wait until the next one comes out.

what else am i missing? i am about to hop on the murder/mystery train and start my favorite murder … that has come highly recommended by some people i like, so if they like it, i will probably like it too, right?

#nsale picks: what’s on the tippity top of my list? those steve madden calf hair boots, the pink jcrew blazer, and the camo sneakers. if you know me, all of these make sense – leopard, camo, and pink.
